With the spell of warmer weather we've been having recently, it's definitely time to get those pins out and show a little skin. But after months of being hidden under trousers, tights, long skirts etc, your legs might not be at their summer-ready best. To help you prep for a bit of bare-legged action, here's a few of our favourite ways to get our legs in tip top condition...
Exercise
First up, we like to keep active and exercise throughout the year, but when it comes to the summer season we make sure to add in a few extra leg exercises to tone up just that little bit more. Upping the amount we walk is one way to tone those pins, just a bit more walking every day can help to burn fat, boost your metabolism and tone up. For maximum effect, walk on an incline such as up hill. We also like to do a few targeted leg and bum exercises. Squats, lunges and leg lifts are great exercises for toning up the leg and bum area. Exfoliate & Body Brush
To get your skin in good condition and to help reduce any cellulite you need to body brush and exfoliate. Dry body brushing is a great way to help with any areas of cellulite as it gets the blood flowing and helps to disperse the fatty areas under the skin. All you need to do for this is get a stiff body brush and brush in sweeping motions up towards your heart on a daily basis. This quick little addition to your daily routine is perfect for helping if you have areas of cellulite that bother you. Exfoliating your skin is something you should do before you carry out any hair removal on your legs. Either using a scrub or exfoliating gloves, when in the shower just lather up and scrub your legs to remove those dead skin cells. This is great for preventing any ingrown hairs and getting rid of any pesky dry patches of skin.
Hair Removal
Whether you prefer to wax, shave, epilate or use hair removal cream, now is the time to get fresh hair-free legs. If you choose to shave, just make sure you regularly change your razor blade as blunt razors can cause rashes.
Moisturise
Now you've done all the prep work, there's no reason to have dry patches on those sexy pins, so make sure you moisturise regularly to keep your skin super smooth and looked after. After showering just pop a little bit of moisturiser on to keep your legs soft. Whether you choose to go for an oil, a cream or a body butter, there are so many options out there for moisturiser, just find one that works for you.

Tan
The final step in making your legs look their best is adding a bit of a bronzed glow. A tan can be great at making your legs look longer and more toned, but a natural tan isn't great for your skin as the UV rays can be harmful to your skin. So stock up on the fake tan to give your legs that little something extra.
