When heading out on holiday in your new swimwear there are a few things that you really want to avoid to ensure that you turn heads for all the right reasons. Here are a few of our top tips of what not to do when donning a bikini or swimsuit….
Don’t Buy Too Small
No one wants under boob or side boob visible in their bikini so make sure that your bikini top covers you properly. The same applies for your bikini bottoms.
Don’t Buy Too Big
Again, buy the correct size for your shape. Oversizing with swimwear can lead to the dreaded ‘saggy bottom’ nappy look, the horror!
Don’t Substitute Lingerie For Swimwear
Even if you think that your underwear could pass for a beautiful swimwear set, it can’t. It won’t fit in the same way as swimwear and it will more than likely be much more see-through. Always wear swimwear at the beach and pool.
Don’t Choose ‘Comedy’ Styles
While that swimsuit may look funny with a silly slogan on it or suggestive image placement, it’s probably not going to be that flattering in reality so it’s more than likely best to avoid.
Don’t Over Accessorise
Some jewellery can look really chic with your swimwear, just try not to pile on too much. It’s all about the effortless beach look, who wants necklace tan lines anyway.
Don’t Wear Swimwear Past Its Time
If your swimsuit or bikini looks faded, pilled or dated then it’s probably time to invest in some new swimwear. Even if you are really attached to it, it has to be done! So chuck away your old and tired pieces and treat yourself to some new ones now.
